That number declined to 16% in 2016, and there were similar decreases in the 18-24 age group. Meanwhile, there has been a corresponding aging in the group. In 1991, 23% of the hunting population were between 45 and 64. That percentage doubled to 46% in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKids, we\u2019re losing them,\u201d said Jeff Danker,&nbsp;a hunting personality who hosts the show \u201cBuckVentures\u201d on the Sportsman Channel. \u201cIf Grandpa don\u2019t hunt or Dad don\u2019t hunt, they ain\u2019t hunting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theknow.denverpost.com\/2019\/09\/16\/hunting-numbers-declining\/223765\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Click here to read the full story from The Denver Post.
