The upcoming Whitney Houston<\/a> hologram tour<\/a> will kick off in early 2020 with its first round of international dates. The trek, \u201cAn Evening With Whitney,\u201d launches January 23rd in Mexico and wraps April 3rd in Minsk, Belarus, with North American shows tentatively planned for fall 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

The BASE Hologram event, produced in partnership with the late singer\u2019s estate, will also include dates in England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia and the Ukraine. U.K. tickets go on sale September 20th, 2019 at 9 a.m. GST.<\/span><\/p>\n

BASE previewed the tour with the first image from the production: a beaming Houston with a microphone, blue jeans, gold jacket and curly haircut.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAn Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Tour\u201d \u2014 which utilizes dancers, a live band and choreography from Fatima Robinson (Dreamgirls<\/em>, The Academy Awards) \u2014 will feature the singer\u2019s most famous hits, including \u201cI Will Always Love You,\u201d \u201cI Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me),\u201d \u201cThe Greatest Love of All\u201d and \u201cHigher Love.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Pat Houston,<\/span> Whitney\u2019s former manager and President and her estate, said they\u2019ve aimed to create \u201cwow factor\u201d with the show. \u201cWhitney is not with us, but her music will live with us forever,\u201d she said in a statement. \u201cWe know we made the right decision partnering with BASE because they understand how important it is to produce a phenomenal hologram. They also know that engaging her fans with an authentic Whitney experience would resonate worldwide because of the iconic status that she created over three decades. Her fans deserve nothing less because she gave nothing less than her best.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile \u2018An Evening With Whitney\u2019 will include all of her iconic hits, it\u2019s not a throw-back show,\u201d added BASE Hologram Chairman and CEO Brian Becker. \u201cThis isn\u2019t a journey through time, but more of a celebration of her best work.<\/span> The main goal in these types of shows is to preserve the legacy of one-of-a-kind musicians and using their actual master recordings, give fans the chance to see them perform \u2014 many for the first time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Houston tour joins BASE\u2019s current hologram roster, including \u201cRoy Orbison & Buddy Holly: The Rock \u2018N\u2019 Roll Dream Tour\u201d<\/a> and one devoted to late opera singer Maria Callas.<\/span><\/p>\n
