\/>\nEnvironmental Studies (ACES) hosted its annual Harvest Party at Rock Bottom<br \/>\nRanch over the weekend, welcoming friends and families for a festive fall<br \/>\ncelebration. The 113-acre wildlife preserve and educational ranch on Hooks Spur<br \/>\nRoad in Basalt serves as ACES\u2019 midvalley hub for environmental education,<br \/>\nwildlands preservation, and sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Always a sell-out event,<br \/>\nthis year\u2019s Harvest Party saw 1,000 guests over the course of four hours.<\/p>\n<p>Rock Bottom Ranch<br \/>\ndirector Jason Smith also noted the ranch harvested over 600 pounds of food for<br \/>\nHarvest Party alone \u2014 all sustainably grown on site \u2014 which Aspen Skiing Co.<br \/>\nCatering used to prepare a healthy lunch for all. Among the harvest was<br \/>\nlettuce, masquerade potatoes, cherry tomatoes and radishes.
