The Women\u2019s Adventure Film Tour will return to the Wheeler Opera House in November, the theater announced last week.<\/p>\n

The Nov. 16 program will include five short films, following women on adventures skiing, cliff diving, paragliding and hiking. Titles include \u201cRainbow Dive,\u201d \u201cSkye\u2019s the Limit,\u201d \u201cCouples,\u201d \u201cYou Never Know,\u201d \u201cPar for the Course,\u201d with more to be announced in coming weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve said it before and I will say it again: Aspen loves adventure film,\u201d Wheeler executive director Gena Buhler said in the announcement, noting the sold-out \u201cEvening of Adventure Film\u201d program at the Aspen Mountain Film Festival in August. \u201cThis particular program is looking at some of the amazing women in adventure, but of course it will be an incredibly inspiring evening for all audience members.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tickets are $15 and are on sale now at the Wheeler Opera House box office (970.920.5770 and aspenshowtix.com).<\/p>\n

The Wheeler also announced that South African filmmaker Michael Oblowitz will be on-hand for a Dec. 15 screening of \u201cHeavy Water,\u201d a feature-length profile of big wave surfer Nathan Fletcher. Oblowitz previously directed the acclaimed surfing documentary \u201cSea of Darkness.\u201d<\/p>\n

The theater will announce its full winter event lineup on Nov. 21.<\/p>\n
