The A-side studio versions both backed by remixes: Justice, who guest DJed at PrEP+, remix \u201cDear April,\u201d while Sango handles the \u201cCayendo\u201d remix, <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/frank-ocean-previews-new-songs-dear-april-and-cayendo-listen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Pitchfork reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ocean also shared a minute-long preview of both remixes, recorded at PrEP+, via videos uploaded to his Blonded Youtube account.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YnKSQM18lHs?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The two songs would mark Ocean\u2019s first new music since his cover of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hear-frank-oceans-serene-cover-of-moon-river-199695\/\">Moon River<\/a>\u201d in February 2018, and his first original track since dropping \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/hear-frank-oceans-jazzy-experimental-new-song-provider-120282\/\">Provider<\/a>\u201d back in August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In a September interview, Ocean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/frank-ocean-lie-new-album-892930\/\">said that his upcoming album<\/a>, the long-awaited follow-up to his acclaimed <em>Blonde<\/em>, is influenced by \u201cDetroit, Chicago, techno, house, French electronic\u201d and that it would be a \u201cfull motion picture fantasy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expectation for artists to be vulnerable and truthful is a lot, you know,\u201d Ocean said. \u201cWhen it\u2019s no longer a choice. Like, in order for me to satisfy expectations, there needs to be an outpouring of my heart or my experiences in a very truthful, vulnerable way.
