Basalt High volleyball loses in five sets to visiting Lake County on Tuesday<\/p>\n

The Basalt High School volleyball team hosted Lake County on Tuesday night, losing 3-2 in its final home match of the fall season. It was tightly contested from the start, with the Panthers taking the first set, 25-20.<\/p>\n

BHS answered by winning the next two sets, 25-23 and 25-21, to take a 2-1 match lead. Lake County closed with wins of 25-19 and 15-13 to improve to 16-7 overall.<\/p>\n

Basalt fell to 9-10 overall. The Longhorns will close out their season Saturday at a tournament hosted by Bennett High School.<\/p>\n

Aspen High volleyball falls in four sets to No. 6 Cedaredge in final home game<\/p>\n

The Aspen High School volleyball team hosted Cedaredge on Tuesday night, losing 3-1 in its final home match of the fall season.<\/p>\n

AHS won the first set, 26-24, against the Bruins, who are ranked No. 6 in Class 3A this week. However, Cedaredge slowly took control, winning the next three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-9 to improve to 18-1 overall.<\/p>\n

Aspen, which likely won\u2019t make regional play, will finish out its season Thursday with a trip to Roaring Fork.<\/p>\n
