{"id":2450491,"date":"2019-10-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-30T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/?p=315213"},"modified":"2019-10-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-10-30T06:00:00","slug":"aspen-area-nonprofits-receive-grants-from-el-pomar-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kspn\/local-news\/aspen-area-nonprofits-receive-grants-from-el-pomar-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Aspen-area nonprofits receive grants from El Pomar Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/02\/facebook-thumbnail-1200.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The El Pomar Foundation of Colorado Springs awarded $105,000 in grants this month to 15 nonprofits in the High Country Region, including several in the Roaring Fork Valley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">A Way Out Inc., which helps treat drug addiction, received $5,000 for support for drug and alcohol treatment and $2,000 for general operating support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">The Aspen Community Foundation received $2,500 for program support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">Aspen Hope Center received $25,000 for its crisis stabilization program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">Aspen Youth Center received $5,000 for general operating support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">Music Associates of Aspen Inc. received $2,500 for general operating support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">The Buddy Program Inc. received $2,500 for the mentor program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">Valley Settlement received $2,500 in general operating support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">Over the hill in the Eagle Valley, recipients included Eagle County Historical Society Inc., $2,500 for general operating support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">Eagle River Youth Coalition Inc. received $3,000 in general operating support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText ListBullet\">The Vail Valley Foundation scored $2,500 in general operating support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">The El Pomar Foundation was founded in 1937 by Spence and Julie Penrose. It established a regional partnerships program in 2003 to increase its impact and establish connections across the entire state.
