However, next summer that office\u2019s operation will relocate to 2802 S. Grand Ave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRenovations were needed if we were going to stay here in this facility. And, this current facility is not ADA compliant,\u201d Roger Sheffield, Mind Springs Health vice president of development, said. \u201c(The new) facility is all on one level, it\u2019s ADA compliant and it\u2019s a complete open space. So, we can come in and design it so that it meets the best needs of our patients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mind Springs Health will sell its current property in Glenwood Springs. Additionally, Sheffield did not anticipate Mind Springs Health in Glenwood Springs needing to close at any point in order to facilitate the move.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbsolutely, same staff,\u201d Sheffield said. \u201cRather than coming to this facility to see your therapist, your counselor, your clinician, your caseworker, your psychiatrist you\u2019ll just head over to the new building.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mind Springs Health\u2019s new 16,000 square foot facility features \u201cample natural lighting designed to create a more welcoming and therapeutic experience,\u201d a recent news release stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a proven fact that natural light helps people in their moods,\u201d Sheffield said. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be much more welcoming, as opposed to our current building. And the location is also more centrally located to the population base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield said the move had nothing to do with Mind Springs Health losing a contract with the state earlier this year to provide mobile and walk-in crisis services across its 10 county service region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbsolutely not,\u201d Sheffield said. \u201cNothing to do with the state contract at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead, Sheffield said the new facility had space for additional group meeting rooms and therapy offices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe could not be more excited about this move,\u201d Sharon Raggio, Mind Springs Health president and CEO, said in a news release. \u201cWe believe that this more centrally located office will be better for our staff, our clients and for the entire Garfield County Community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield said once design plans were finalized, Mind Springs Health Glenwood Springs would announce a formal opening date.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:mabennett@postindependent.com\">mabennett@postindependent.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspentimes.com\/news\/mind-springs-health-announces-plans-for-new-glenwood-springs-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">via:: The Aspen Times<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Come summer 2020, Mind Springs Health will be at a new location in Glenwood Springs.
