Should it be an aerial gondola connecting together the two areas or a pedestrian bridge connection?

Of course, my holiday wish is for an aerial connection.

Hundreds of millions of skiers, employees, events/party goers have already used the Aspen Skiing Co. aerials to get from point A to point B. Aerial transportation is not a new thing.

Who wants to carry their skis with kids in tow and walk on an icy bridge to get groceries before heading back to the condo or home? Even in summer when most people drive who wants to push a shopping cart full of groceries across a pedestrian bridge?

Keep in mind that the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport focus group just recommended that a valley floor aerial system be looked at between the airport and Snowmass/Brush Creek Park and Ride, also connecting with Aspen.

I know it is early to make a holiday wish but imagine getting on the Snowmass Skittles, then on an aerial at Base Village which connects with the Snowmass Town Center, the Rodeo Lot, Brush Creek Park and Ride, the airport, Buttermilk and Aspen. An alignment also would go to Highlands.

It can be done. Happy holiday season.

Toni Kronberg

Snowmass

via:: The Aspen Times

My holiday wish is aerial connection in Snowmass In early January 2020, Snowmass Town Council is taking up the topic of connectivity between the proposed Snowmass Town Center and Base Village.
