Jason Crow<\/a>, an Aurora Democrat, will help prosecute President Donald Trump in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>House Speaker Nancy Pelosi&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/01\/15\/pelosi-appoints-impeachment-managers-for-trumps-senate-trial-099240\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">announced Wednesday<\/a>&nbsp;that the freshman congressman will be one of seven impeachment managers when the president\u2019s trial begins next week. Trump was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2019\/12\/18\/impeachment-donald-trump-colorado\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">impeached by House Democrats<\/a>&nbsp;last month for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe emphasis is on litigators,\u201d Pelosi said of the impeachment managers. \u201cThe emphasis is on comfort level in the courtroom. The emphasis is on making the strongest possible case to protect and defend our Constitution \u2014 to seek the truth for the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crow was an attorney in Aurora before joining Congress, though he was not a prosecutor.
