How old are you?<\/strong> I just turned 30.<\/p>\n

Where are you from?<\/strong> Ashville, N.C. I\u2019ve been here three years. This is my fourth season.<\/p>\n

When did you get to Aspen\/what\u2019s your Aspen story?<\/strong> An avalanche trapped me out here. I was out here visiting a friend when I was living in Denver and an avalanche fell on Vail Pass. I stayed for three days, then applied as a lift-op and got the job.<\/p>\n

Why did you come here?<\/strong> I visited here six years ago, and when I saw Snowmass I said I\u2019m gonna live and work there some day. It\u2019s such a beautiful mountain.<\/p>\n

Where do you live?<\/strong> I live down in Basalt.<\/p>\n

What has surprised you about Aspen?<\/strong> Being from a small town I like having the culture here, but it\u2019s just a little higher-end here.<\/p>\n

When did you learn to ski\/snowboard?<\/strong> I was in sixth grade, but I didn\u2019t really start until I moved here four seasons ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your best night out in Aspen consisted of?<\/strong> Going to Zane\u2019s with my friends and having a few pitchers of beers.<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s your most memorable interaction with a guest so far?<\/strong> I had a guest come through the other day and said, \u201cYou\u2019re the hardest working liftie on the mountain.\u201d That really meant a lot to me because I always try to make everything look nice, especially since it\u2019s such a busy lift.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your best tricks for staying warm?<\/strong> Dancing. If you see a liftie dancing, more than likely it\u2019s because their feet are cold.<\/p>\n
