To stop the potential spread of COVID-19 and flatten the curve of its growth \u00ad\u2014 terms that have become common vernacular as of late \u2014 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have outlined ways to follow suit on their website.<\/p>\n<p>The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Social distancing is the reason so many events are being canceled or postponed and a cause for pause, altering how we interact and what we do each day. While we hunker down, spending time solo or in smaller groups, staying 6 to 10 feet away from others, sanitizing our environments, washing our hands thoroughly, and following all the best practices, we also need to stay sane, be safe and carry on in new ways.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re all in this together. A friend in the medical field in Aspen pointed out that we, as a tourism-based community, have a leg up as we\u2019re already well versed in living with high seasons and low seasons and the altered pace that comes with them. For other communities, it\u2019s a completely foreign experience for life to come to a halt.
