The body of Corby Fisher, a Steamboat Springs native and longtime ski coach, was found in Utah on Monday. Fisher had been missing for almost three weeks and was last seen camping in Browns Park.<\/strong>

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS \u2014 The body of a well-known Steamboat Springs man was found in Utah on Monday.<\/p>\n

Corby Fisher, 44, had been missing for almost three weeks when authorities found his body in Daggett County, a few miles from the Colorado border, according to a news release from the Daggett County Sheriff\u2019s Office. He had been camping in Brown\u2019s Park and was last seen between March 31 and April 1.<\/p>\n

Fisher was first reported missing on April 4, according to the Sheriff\u2019s Office. The next day, a deputy and two Division of Wildlife Resources officers found Fisher\u2019s truck and some of his personal items at a campsite in Brown\u2019s Park. The active search then had to be suspended due to the Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2019s limited resources due to ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to the news release.<\/p>\n

Fisher\u2019s family and friends galvanized to conduct search efforts on their own.<\/p>\n
