No one has reported seeing a mountain lion and no activity was reported Tuesday, he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Basalt police notified officials with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, which posted signs on Midland Avenue, Sopris Drive and Homestead Drive between them, Knott said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Messages left Wednesday afternoon for CPW officials were not returned.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col\" readability=\"6\">\n<div class=\"row at-donation at-donation-mobile p-0\" readability=\"7\">\n<div class=\"col-xl-4 p-2\">\n<div data-bg=\"url(https:\/\/cdn.aspentimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2020\/03\/AT-logo-white.png)\" class=\"p-0 mt-2 mb-2 h-75 text-center rocket-lazyload\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.aspentimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2020\/03\/AT-logo-white.png\" class=\"logo m-0 p-0 invisible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><h3 class=\"d-inline mr-3\">Support Local Journalism<\/h3>\n<p><button class=\"btn d-inline\" type=\"button\" onclick=\"handleDonationButtonClickMidArticle()\">Donate<\/button><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">Basalt Town Manager Ryan Mahoney brought up the issue Tuesday night <a id=\"N0x2638d00N0x282fe40:N0x2638d00N0x278c9b8\" href=\"https:\/\/townofbasalt.ompnetwork.org\/sessions\/132908\/basalt-council-04-28-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">during the Town Council meeting<\/a><i class=\"fas fa-external-link-alt\"><\/i>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\">\u201cMany of you might have seen there is a mountain lion active in the Hillside District and you may hear some scuttlebutt about that,\u201d he said. \u201cIt has taken a couple of deer of the last few days. \u2026 Those cats are active and present.
