The websites aspentimes.com and aspentimes.com\/ATW were named as the best in their divisions. Impartial coverage of a hot-button issue. Good journalism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Sustained coverage: Scott Condon, Jason Auslander, Anna Stonehouse and Jeremy Wallace for the coverage of the 2019 avalanche season and its impact through the summer and fall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Serious column writing: Sean Beckwith for \u201cFeeling low about Gwyn\u2019s High Alpine\u201d; \u201cLong shadow of Aspen\u2019s beauty.\u201d Said the judges: \u201cSharp observation. Understated sarcasm. Clean, elegant writing. Clich\u00e9-free. Copy editing doubtless has made this writer a strong columnist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Special section cover design and photo: Madelyn LyBarger and Jeremy Wallace for \u201cLake Christine Fire: One Year Later.\u201d Said the judges: \u201cReally nice design and a well-chosen photograph. The type doesn\u2019t get lost. The top designs were clean and advertised what\u2019s inside without going overboard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\"><span class=\"STND:STND BodyText Bold\">Second Place<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Photo slideshow or gallery: Anna Stonehouse for \u201cMaking the cut\u201d feature on bull riders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Multimedia package: Anna Stonehouse and Austin Colbert for \u201cShining Stars gives children with life-threatening illness the chance to glow with Aspen Camp.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Serious column writing: Roger Marolt for \u201cVail is proof you can\u2019t create a town by building hotels\u201d and \u201cA man in full retreat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Humorous column writing: Sean Beckwith for \u201cSean-shack redemption\u201d; \u201cDon\u2019t be fu-silly\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Sports column writing: Roger Marolt for \u201cRiding into the sunset and coming back bruised\u201d and \u201cMaking a turn for the better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText Subhead\">ASPEN TIMES WEEKLY<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText\"><span class=\"STND:STND BodyText Bold\">First Place<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Feature story: Andrew Travers for \u201cThomas of Snowmass.\u201d The citation reads: \u201cThe skill and ability of this writer created a tale that is irresistible to the reader. This is easily the most well-written submission in this category.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Agriculture story: Scott Condon for \u201cValley Farms, Female Fueled.\u201d The judges\u2019 citation reads: \u201cOf all the stories in this category, the Aspen story best captures the voices of farmers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Serious column writing: Amanda Rae for \u201cThe Lunch Life\u201d and \u201cFarm to Fish.\u201d The citation reads: \u201cBoth well-written, showing a keen knowledge of the subject \u2026 and the subjects that were interviewed. Maddie Vincent did a great job of finding people affected, but also finding people who care about solutions. Well done. The sort of cover that makes you want to celebrate at a restaurant. Really strong historical research went into this work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"STND-STND BodyText BoldIntro\">Photo slideshow or gallery: Brent Gardner Smith for \u201cPortrait of low flows on the Green and Colorado Rivers.\u201d Said the judges: \u201cBeautiful shots. A good variety of shots all telling the same story.
