You probably already know that your local library offers books, magazines, and movies, but did you know that Grand County Library District (GCLD) also offers you free online access to The Denver Post?
With your GCLD library card, you can read The Denver Post in its entirety every single day for free. (Not to mention the added bonus of not having to go outside and dig your wet paper out of a snowbank.) Plus, no more recycling or having papers pile up when you’re out of town.
The Denver Post Online looks just like the print version, with the exact same layout, articles, photos, and even the same ads. You can scroll through the paper page by page or choose the specific section and page you’d like to read. You can even do a keyword search to find articles on a particular topic.
Another handy feature of the online version is that you can enlarge the font size, “clip” and email articles, save the issue to a personal folder, or download the entire paper to your mobile device for offline reading.
In addition to giving you access to the current daily edition of The Post, the database will allow you to do a broad search of past issues. You can search names, topics, or events. The advanced search option will let you narrow your search to a specific date or range of dates. You can browse blogs and exclusive web edition articles, as well.

Here’s how to access your free online version of The Denver Post:
• Visit www.gcld.org and sign into your account with your library card.
• Select the “eBooks & Leaning Tools” tab at the top of the page (or from the menu if you’re on a mobile device).
• Next, scroll down through the alphabetized list of resources to The Denver Post Collection and click the link.
• Enter your last name and library card number (Tip: If you stay logged into your library account, you won’t have to do this every time.)
• You can access the current issue by selecting the second link, “Denver Post, 2017-current.”
• Then, simply choose the date of the issue you’d like to read from the displayed calendar.
