Paul Jennings of Grand Lake Colorado passed away at his home Friday October 11, 2019. Paul was born May 24, 1932 in Portland Oregon to Paul Carson Jennings (Sr.) and Goldie Margaret Manville.
Paul was an athletic alumnus of Portland State University and Green Bay Packers football teams. He served with the US Army during the 1950s and spent most of his professional life at Ingersoll Rand before starting his own industrial sales business in the 1980s.
Long after raising his own daughter and four stepchildren, Paul retired to Grand Lake in 2004 where he helped establish the Gentlemen’s (Social) Club, which raises money for worthy charities. Here he continued to support his much-loved Broncos and Packers teams, meeting regularly with fellow fans.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Goldie, and his siblings Dolores Mallony and Manville Jennings. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Jennings; sister Margaret McKenzie; daughters Michele Hager, Janis Berger and Lisa Peters; sons Greg Pullem and David Pullem; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and loyal dog Spuds.
Cremation has taken place and the family invites friends to join them for a “celebration of life” event to be held Saturday, November 9th 1:00-4:00PM at the Sagebrush Restaurant in Grand Lake. For those who may travel from out of town, the Gateway Hotel has graciously offered special rates for those who need lodgings.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributing to a widow’s fund to help with burial and other expenses. Donations may be made for Carolyn Jennings at Grand Mountain Bank in Grand Lake, or through mail at PO Box 340, Grand Lake, CO 80447-0340.
