Pauline “Polly” Hedgecock, 85, of Granby passed away on Oct.
17, 2019, at home with her family by her side after battling cancer. Polly was
born April 9, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and shortly after moved to Colorado.
She married Harlen Hedgecock in July of 1951. Polly and
Harlen both worked for Mountain Bell in Denver until 1984. They then returned
to Granby and bought Highland Marina, which they ran for 12 years before selling
to their son.
She loved her purple hair and working in the marina store,
which she did until August of 2019, when she became too sick to continue
working.
She is survived by her husband, Harlen Hedgecock; son, Paul
Hedgecock; brother Bob Bingham; and her grandchildren, Kaity and Kiffer
Hedgecock.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in
Pauline’s name to Northwest Colorado Health, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101,
Steamboat Springs, CO 80487, who provided outstanding hospice care during her
last few weeks of life. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
