Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will again open up a terrain park on its snow-covered slopes this weekend for skiing and riding after trying out the idea last weekend.

The Summit County ski area at the Continental Divide will open the terrain park from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The park will be located at the top of the High Noon run and will be accesible via a ride on the Black Mountain Express chairlift, from which the park will be a short walk.

The park is accesible by foot traffic only, and the last download down from the park will be available at 3 p.m. No skiing or riding to the base of the mountain’s front-side will be available from the terrain park near the Black Mountain Lodge at mid-mountain

Season ski passes, such as A-Basin passes or an Epic Pass, for 2018-19 are not valid at the terrain park, as everyone must purchase a $25 terrain park ticket on site at A-Basin in the guest services office in the mountain’s Mountain Goat Plaza area.

Last weekend A-Basin provided seven features in the terrain park during its first weekend. Outside of this terrain park opening, A-Basin closed skiing and riding for the season last Thursday, July 4.
