On Friday, June 7, award-winning author and international speaker Tracey Carisch will talk about her memoir “Excess Baggage: One Family’s Around-the-World Search for Balance.”

In the spring of 2014, Carisch, her husband and their three young daughters embarked on a nomadic journey around the planet, visiting 24 countries over the course of 18 months. During their travels, Carisch maintained a travel blog that gained international readership and became the basis of the memoir.

When the family returned to the United States at the end of 2015, they decided to settle permanently in Summit County. Carisch is now an active member of the local community, serving as a director on the Summit County School Board and a member of the Summit County Rotary Club.

Carisch will share travel photography and key lessons from her book at the event. After a short presentation, she will lead an audience Q&A and open discussion focused on finding balance and connection in the midst of busy schedules.

Next Page Books & Nosh will be at the event selling copies during the book signing afterward.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 5:30. Visit TraceyCarisch.com for more information.
