Grand County Library District looks to fill two openings on board

The Grand County Library District is seeking candidates for
two open positions on its board of trustees, one representing District 2 and
one at-large.

District 2 encompasses the central portion of Grand County,
including Granby and Grand Lake, but both positions are open to any county
resident.

The trustees are tasked with working as a team to protect the
interests of the broader library community by advising the executive director
in the policies, promotion and development of the district.

Preferred qualifications include a strong desire to preserve
and promote the library as a public forum for the sharing of information and
ideas without prejudice; a willingness and ability to give time and talent to
the library; participating in monthly meetings and occasional committee meetings,
special library functions and other community events at which the library is
promoted; and the ability to assess information and make important decisions.

Terms are two years, and there are no term limits. A job description is available at www.gcld.org/trustees. Anyone who’s interested should send a resume and letter of interest to jsloan@gcld.org or mail them to: Jim Sloan, Vice-President Grand County Library District; P.O. Box 1050; Granby, CO 80446-1050.
