A small quarter-acre wildfire has been reported north of Kremmling in the Gore Pass area.
The fire is west of the Gore Lake Subdivision in Routt National Forest, according to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.
Crews from Kremmling Fire Protection District were called out at 5:19 p.m. for smoke near Gore Pass.
This area is near where the the Silver Creek Fire burned more than 20,000 acres about this time last year.
The US Forest Service has hand crews on scene along with a Type 1 helicopter on air attack. The Kremmling Fire Department and Grand County Sheriff’s Office have passed command of the the fire over to the US Forest Service at this time.
There are currently no evacuations, and no structures are at immediate risk at this time.
