Colorado State Patrol has implemented a safety closure Friday afternoon on Interstate 70 westbound through Glenwood Canyon, due to multiple crashes, including one involving a semi-tractor trailer and a van.
The westbound lanes were initially closed at milemarker 130 on the east end of the canyon, near Dotsero, according to a tweet from CSP out of Eagle County sent just before 1 p.m.
Officials were hoping to open one lane to traffic again soon, but there was no estimated time for reopening, and motorists are advised to expect delays.
