By Josh Carney Ashley Emery’s senior season was a special one for the Glenwood middle hitter. During her final season as a member of the Demons, Emery saw her game take off, pushing her into the conversation as one of the most complete volleyball players on the Western Slope.
Thanks to her impressive senior season, Emery earned 4A All-State honorable mention accolades after earning First Team All-Conference honors in the 4A Western Slope League.
The senior led the Demons with 163 kills, 52 total blocks, 45 aces, and added another 87 digs helping the Demons finish 11-12 (6-6 4A WSL) under second-year head coach Kehau Rust.
Joining Emery on the First Team All-Conference list was senior Baylee Johnson, who finished with 113 kills, 21 ace, 13 blocks and 135 digs.
Outside of Emery on the 4A All-State team, Coal Ridge saw senior outside hitter Kara Morgan land on the 3A All-State Second Team, while Grand Valley senior outside hitter Shaya Chenoweth earned 3A All-State honorable mention.
