DENVER (AP) — Hundreds of people have gathered in downtown Denver for the 2019 Women’s March, chanting demands for equality.
Some people attending Saturday’s march carried signs denouncing President Donald Trump. Others said they weren’t there to oppose Trump but to support rights for women and minorities.
One man carried a sign that said “I’m with her” with 10 arrows radiating from the center.
Police said they had no plans to estimate the crowd size. The marchers stretched for several blocks, and officers blocked off streets around the state Capitol and city hall to clear their path.
Marches were also planned in Aspen, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction and Montrose.
