I am writing to publicize and lend my support for Jasmin Ramirez for the Re-1 School Board. I am urging others to do the same.
I believe, having served on the School Board and many other civic bodies that Ramirez is not running against anyone, she is running for us and our children. Jasmin has had a strong history of involvement in schools as well as leadership roles and building community in educational and civic endeavors. As a working mother of one student and one toddler, as a longtime member of our community, as a Latina who can bring connection and build community with our Latinx and Anglo communities, Jasmin is a terrific candidate. We will all benefit from her energy, enthusiasm, vision and experience.
There is much to be done to help to make a good school district better. I hope you will join me in electing Jasmin Ramirez.
