Many residents have already expressed their concern regarding the trap and kill of the mountain lion family in the West Glenwood area by calling the local CPW office.
While the public appreciates CPW’s concern for human safety and understands the logic behind the trap and kill, those who feel that mountain lions should be given a chance to live by relocation despite the dangers involved, such as a possible presence of and the need to fight with another mountain lion(s) in the relocation area, are frustrated that their voices don’t count.
If finances are the issue, many of us are willing to donate if asked to help pay for the transportation. CPW should not pass up this opportunity to work with the public in such a way that would build a positive relationship into the future.
