Richard (Rick) Allen Holub (August 19, 1952 — January 28, 2019)

Rick passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2019, from a sudden illness.

Rick was born on August 19, 1952, to Myles and Virginia Holub along with his identical twin brother Jeff in Boulder, Colorado, joining his older brother Gary. The family moved to Glenwood when the boys were 6 years old, and he called the valley home since then.

Rick was very proud of the business he built and ran very successfully. He was the most ambitious and kind man, he put his heart and soul into everything in his life. Rick was known for always having the best of the best, his sense of humor and zest for life. He was an avid fisherman, being on the lake with his brother made him very happy. He enjoyed four wheeling with Chris and friends, hunting and participating in his grandkids’ activities. Rick’s true passion was flying. Being a private pilot and owning his own airplane was a source of pride and joy. Rick had so many friends he considered family and was always ready to help. Rick was active in Garfield Search and Rescue for many years.

Rick is survived by his twin, Jeff, and wife Lana, his forever partner Chris Jerome. Even though he never had children of his own, he considered her children his own. He leaves behind their son Justin, daughter Breann (Martin), and his four grandkids, Brady, Kaylee, Anthony and Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother.

Per Rick’s request, there are no services planned at this time.

Fly high sweet man.
