The Town of Silverthorne is making the first Friday of every month a reason for residents and visitors alike to get together and celebrate what’s special about the community. From arts and food to music and fun, First Fridays showcase the community’s talented makers, artisans and performers. They include hosted evenings with artists, chefs, brewers, musicians and more in various locales that welcome the whole community to participate. The event will, of course, take place on the first Friday of each month.
Here’s what’s on tap for 2019:
January – Snow Bike Festival:
An ode to winter motorsports in Summit County, January’s First Friday event — presented in partnership with Silverthorne Power Sports and Mountain Lyon Café — will include a professional outdoor snow bike demo, a winter motorsports fashion show and a snow bike video premiere, as well as live music, food and drink, all at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center.
February – Baile Folklorico:
A celebration of Summit County’s many cultures, February’s First Friday event will include Folklorico dancers, special food and drink, and much more!

March – Youth Art Month:
March’s First Friday will bring the Silverthorne community together in observation of Youth Art Month. Special programming and projects will showcase our town’s young artists.
April – Rail Jam:
Silverthorne will host its second annual live rail jam on the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center lawn. Watch as more than 40 semi-professional and amateur skiers and riders launch themselves off numerous rails, jumps and other park features. The event will include live music, food and drink.
May – Locals’ Appreciation Party:
May’s First Friday event will honor the folks who call Silverthorne home. In partnership with Locals’ Liquors, the event will include samples from 30-plus breweries and distilleries, in addition to food vendors and a live band on the outdoor stage at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center.
June – Cycle Silverthorne:
The kickoff to Silverthorne’s month long salute to the community’s biking culture, Cycle Silverthorne Month, June’s First Friday event will showcase local bike vendors and shops with special bicycle-friendly programming and will include live music, food and beverage.
July – Art on The Blue Art Festival:
The second annual Art on The Blue art festival will feature more than 25 artists from around the state showcasing their original works, along with a variety of special programming and activations celebrating the arts in Silverthorne.
