Brendon Urie On ‘Pray For The Wicked’ Charting Behind ‘The Greatest Showman’: “How Ironic Is That?”

Speaking to Rock Sound about the incredible year that Panic! At The Disco have had, frontman Brendon Urie revealed how he felt about only juuuuust missing out on Panic!’s first ever number one debut album.

On ‘Pray For The Wicked’ coming in at number two on the charts, just behind ‘The Greatest Showman’ soundtrack, Brendon shared “How ironic is that, losing out to a musical?! At the same time, what an honour to be beaten by such a small margin and by something as incredible as that album. It was definitely ironic, but I love that in a way, and the people behind that album are such great and talented people that it’s hard to be too mad about it. Even to hit Number Two in the UK, though, that’s ridiculous. To even go Top Five is amazing, let alone achieve what it did.”
