The record will follow their second EP ‘Everything Opposite’ this summer.
Simple Creatures have confirmed that an album is on the way!
The band, comprised of Blink-182‘s Mark Hoppus and All Time Low‘s Alex Gaskarth, have just released their first EP, ‘Strange Love’, with their second, ‘Everything Opposite’, due later this summer.
However, as the band revealed to us this week, there is much more new music on the way!

When asked about releasing an album, Mark said “Album, yes. When we first set out, we had enough music to put out a record but I don’t think we wanted to inundate people with that much music right off the bat. We wanted to put out some music (then) put out some more music later. Especially the way that modern music is consumed and released…that’s something that’s really exciting for me as a musician, is to have that agility to put out whatever you want.”
Furthermore, the band also confirmed that they plan on returning to the Simple Creatures project in years to come, with future albums in the pipeline too.
As Alex says, “When we talked about doing this, one of the main things we discussed was we don’t just want this to be a passion project that we fire up for a week and then it’s done. We said if this is gonna be worthwhile and we’re gonna do this then this should be our creative outlet going forward for things that are different and things we can do outside of our existing projects. I think, yeah, down the line it’s gonna be a really nice thing to have to just do things a different way.”
Exciting stuff!
