Reunited Nineties rockers Failure and Swervedriver, both coming off new albums, will hit the road together this spring. The seven-week joint trek kicks off March 13th at Dallas’ House of Blues and circles North America before coming to a close April 24th at Los Angeles’ Fonda. Tickets for the trek go on sale to the public February 2nd.
In November, Failure released their latest LP In The Future Your Body Will Be The Furthest Thing From Your Mind, the band’s second LP since their 2014 reunion.
“Beyond excited to play the new material live,” Failure’s Ken Andrews said in a statement. “I feel, as all artists should, this new album is our best work to date, pushing our sound into challenging new spaces. If early rehearsals are any indication of what’s to come, I think our fans are going to be very pleased.”
Swervedriver’s new album Future Ruins, the shoegaze band’s second new album since reforming in 2008, arrived January 25th.
Failure drummer Kellii Scott said of their tour mates, “This is a tour that has made sense to me for over two decades. Failure and Swervedriver are both distinctive bands born in the ‘90s who continue to prove that you don’t have to lose muscle to transmit atmosphere and you don’t have to stop writing songs to have a unique sound. Anyone who enjoys powerful live shows will love this.”
