The Blink-182 frontman dropped the news in an interview at iHeart’s Alter Ego.
Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus has confirmed that he’s working on a “new project” that he can’t properly discuss yet.
In an interview behind the scenes of iHeart Alter Ego in Los Angeles over the weekend he disclosed as much as he could, and needless to say we’re intrigued.
Blink weren’t on the line-up for Alter Ego over the weekend, but Hoppus popped by the event to watch Twenty One Pilots.
Speaking to LiveXLive, he was asked “And now I’ve also heard something- that you have a new project coming up”, to which he confirmed “I do, yes! I’m not at liberty to talk about it tonight, but you’re going to find out about it very soon.”
He then continued “I’m not supposed to say something yet! But yes, I’m sorry- very soon.”
Very. Soon.
He also confirmed that Blink are currently in the studio working on their new album, and that live shows are in the works. So it looks like whatever this new project is that Hoppus is working on, he’s not casting Blink aside to make it happen. Nice.
