Mark Hoppus Has Shared An Update On The New Blink-182 Album: New Music Is Coming “Early Summer”

New music? Definitely ‘Feeling This’!

New Blink-182 music is properly on the way now.

Speaking to ABC Radio on Monday, bassist Mark Hoppus spoke about how the pop-punk trio are tracking on the follow-up to their 2016 album ‘California’.

“We’re trying to get away from picking up an acoustic guitar and starting a song that way,” Mark shared. “We’ve been writing songs based around beats that [drummer] Travis [Barker] has come up with, or maybe just a keyboard line or one little guitar riff and building around that.”

Mark also spoke on their collaborators, including Pharrell Williams who is one of three producers on the upcoming album, sharing “He brought an idea for a track that we worked on for a couple days that is very immediate, happy, punk-inspired, sing-along happy punk rock.”

“We want to go out on tour, we have shows lining up,” he continued on to say, “”We are ready to start that whole cycle again.”

This all follows on from earlier this year, where Travis Barker spoke about how the new blink-182 album will be out before Warped Tour.
