After the Distillers unveiled their first new song in 15 years and reunited for a handful of 2018 dates, Brody Dalle and company will reconvene for a 2019 spring tour. The 12-date tour, which leans heavily on the eastern half of North America, begins May 19th in Columbus, Ohio and carries through a June 4th gig in Nashville. Tickets for the shows go on sale February 14th.
In September, the Distillers released “Man vs. Magnet,” the band’s first new song since their 2003 LP Coral Fang; Dalle had previously hinted that the Distillers would release a new LP in 2018, but in an Instagram post marking her 40th birthday, the singer revealed recording on that LP would take place in April, a month before the tour begins.
While on tour, “Man vs. Magnet” will be available as a pink-colored 7″ single courtesy of Third Man Records, with a black version of the 7″ available through the Third Man site on February 15th.
