This one escaped EVERYONE.
It’s now been about six weeks since the Netflix adaptation of Gerard Way’s comic book The Umbrella Academy hit our screens, but we’re still picking up little easter eggs that we missed on our first few watches.
Now, everyone already saw that there’s a respectful nod to Gerard in episode one of The Umbrella Academy, where he is credited with giving critical praise about Vanya’s book.
However on closer inspection, it turns out that the creators of the Netflix adaptation of the series actually included another nod to My Chemical Romance as well. Did you spot this one?
It turns out that Number 5’s blazer pocket was actually the album artwork of My Chemical Romance’s ‘The Black Parade’ the whole time! How did everybody miss it?!
Amazing stuff.
