As president of Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties, Julia Rea is responsible for one of the largest real estate companies in the Rocky Mountains — at age 33.
Her avid volunteerism and commitment to community has led to her sponsoring of the Susan G. Komen Snowshoe for the Cure, raising funds for breast cancer research, raising funds for pet adoptions and the local shelter and founding of the Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties Charity Event Committee, spearheading a 15-person membership with major events in the works to give back to the community.

What problem would you like to solve?
I am a problem solver by nature, so I do not like having any problems I cannot solve! In the big picture, affordable housing comes to mind.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Continuing to work for Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties and driving the company to new heights as we continue to grow, and spending more time with my husband and daughter enjoying the great outdoors that Grand County has to offer.
Who’s your hero and why?
Nelson Mandela. His life lessons and motto that “courage is not the absence of fear” has allowed me to excel both personally and professionally.
What is it about your generation that sets it apart?
I believe that technology has set our generation apart which has allowed for us to drive business to levels that generations before us couldn’t – like being able to run 8 offices throughout the state from Winter Park!
Why did you choose Grand County?
Grand County appealed to my family as it is one of the last remaining ski towns with the small town charm and feel, while being close enough to Denver and having so many options to enjoy being outdoors.
How do you like to play in Grand County?
Hiking with my family, skiing, camping in our RV, attending music in the park and all summer festivals (especially the country music festival)!
What kind of future do you see for your industry in Grand County?
With all the growth and development over the past few years (there have been many exciting changes in the years I have lived here), I expect there to be continued growth for the Real Estate industry in Grand County which is very promising!
If you could change one thing about Grand County, what would it be?
More summer months and less potholes!
