A lifelong resident of Grand County, Lindsey Morrow is a champion of her community.

In addition to working as a local Realtor, Morrow serves as director of Grand County Tourism, which highlights the county to tourists, local residents and more. She has received professional success for the community by working with all the chambers of commerce to promote overnight stays within the county and is helping tie together the community’s cultural and historical heritage, arts and creativity and to promote and create awareness of local assets.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Given the pace and journey I have been on so far, life changes at any moment so you have to take it day by day and enjoy every second. I know I’ll be working hard on continuing to be my best within the tourism, construction, real estate industry while preparing our daughter to be in fifth grade!
Who’s your hero and why?
From the women role models with who I was able to start my career, who always believed and supported me, to my friends who have stood by my side through the hardest days and to my family with their unconditional love and support.
What is it about your generation that sets it apart?
I believe our generation grew up with the mindset that hard work pays off. We have a balance of freedom and responsibility within the workforce while also being independent and self-sufficient. I also think our generation is willing to take the risk to be entrepreneurs.
Why did you choose Grand County?
From a young age, I was surrounded by the beauty of mountains, spending most days on the lake either fishing or waterskiing and being raised in a small town where everyone knew you. After I graduated from college I knew that Grand County was going to be home.
How do you like to play in Grand County?
As an avid outdoor family, we enjoy hiking to fishing to back country hunting. There is something special about showing our daughter wildlife and the true beauty that the mountains offer. In the winter we love to ice fish and snowmobile as well as take our sweet sweets snowshoeing!
What kind of future do you see for your industry in Grand County?
Over the last two years, we have seen significant growth in the building industry. In 2018, the building department had a record year for building permits and are trending to be above that in 2019. For the construction and real estate industry, future trends in culture, lifestyle and values are always hard to predict. I believe we can get ahead of these trends by imagining who our future customers will be.
If you could change one thing about Grand County, what would it be?
I think the entire community is working on providing more affordable housing. However, I think our goal needs to be attainable housing for the local working families.
