Colorado Parks and Wildlife has nearly $11 million in grant funding available for private landowners who want to protect wildlife habitats on their property, and to provide wildlife-related recreational access to the public.
The Colorado Wildlife Habitat Program is a statewide program, incentive-based and voluntary that uses conservation easements, access easements and fee title purchases to reach strategic wildlife conservation goals and/or public access goals.
To apply, a landowner or a designee, must complete a project proposal that addresses one or more of the following CPW priorities:
- Public access for hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing
- Big-game winter range and migration corridors
- Protecting habitats for species of concern as identified in CPW statewide action plan
- Riparian areas and wetlands
- Landscape-scale parcels and parcels that provide connectivity to conserved lands

Proposals will be accepted until 5 p.m. May 31.
