After a few dry, bluebird days, snow is returning to Grand County starting Sunday and carrying through Tuesday, according to the latest weather predictions.

The National Weather Service has parts of Grand County, including Winter Park and Berthoud Pass, on a winter weather advisory until 8 p.m. Sunday. The advisory predicts 3-6 inches of snow, creating slippery road conditions.

Then Sunday night is expected to be dry before the next storm moves in on Monday, according to OpenSnow.com.

Snow should begin again Monday morning through Tuesday night, with similar accumulations of 3-6 inches expected.

As of Sunday morning, the Colorado Avalanche Information Center rated avalanche danger in the Front Range mountains at moderate.

So far this season, Winter Park Resort has recorded 283 inches of snowfall and the base sits at a healthy 76 inches.
