The 2019 Granby tennis tournament sponsored by the town and the Granby Recreation Department was on Aug. 3 at Raffety Park.
The tournament was open to all and featured play in men’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles divisions.
Play went throughout the day with several players going six hours or more and one, Brady Paugh, went almost seven hours nonstop.
Winners were as follows:
Men’s singles — Brian Gurinsky from Granby with a 3-0 record.
Men’s doubles — Brian Gurinsky and Thad School of Hot Sulphur Springs went undefeated in two matches.
Mixed doubles — Nancy Mackenzie from Grand Lake and Bill Wines from Granby also had a 2-0 record.
