7:08 p.m. – Seven hikers ranging in age from five to 40 were reported missing after hiking near Monarch Lake unprepared for the weather. Search and Rescue crews staged at the Monarch Lake trailhead around 8:20 p.m. However all seven hikers returned to the trailhead around 8:55 p.m. and none needed medical care.
Thursday, June 20
7:20 a.m. – Graffiti reported in Granby on the wall of a business turned out to be intentional by one of the artists participating in the Granby Mural Festival.
2:43 p.m. – A woman in a silver Jeep was reported for harassment after screaming obscenities and honking her car horn for approxiately 15 minutes outside Canyon Liquors.
Saturday, June 22
2:18 p.m. – A strong smell of natural gas was reported behind High Country Haus building seven in Winter Park. The smell was concentrated near the meter, so Grand County EMS monitored the meter. Xcel Energy was notified.
Monday, June 24
4:47 a.m. – A vehicle owner discovered his driver’s side door open and inside his vehicle is covered in mud. Police determined the driver’s door was unlocked and likely opened by a bear.
7:49 p.m. – A man was acting strangely at his table in Maverick’s Grille and refusing to leave. He was believed to have been intoxicated and had several bags on his table, but ultimately left without incident.
