Grand County police blotter, May 17-18: Canoeing in an irrigation ditch

FRIDAY, MAY 17

6:23 a.m. Reporting party witnessed a full rollover near milepost 215 on Highway 40 in Granby. Vehicle landed back on its wheels. The vehicle was on the eastbound side of the highway, not blocking traffic. Injuries were unknown. Colorado State Patrol was notified. There were three people in the vehicle, two were walking towards City Market.

8:31 a.m. A person wearing all black was reported in the area of the 700-block of County Road 834 in Fraser. The person had been there the previous night, as well. The person was reported as acting strangely, attempting to hide when approached. The residence is for sale and the reporting party, the home’s real estate agent, is concerned.

2:19 p.m. A canoe containing two men and a woman was seen in the irrigation ditch alongside Highway 40 near milepost 206 in Granby.

11:06 p.m. A person was reported as attempting to break into a home on the 300-block of North 10th Street in Kremmling.

SATURDAY, MAY 18

10:35 a.m. Colorado State Patrol asked local agencies for assistance with multiple non-injury slide-offs and collisions due to poor road conditions on Berthoud Pass.
