Grand County police blotter, May 6: Dog locked in tool box

MONDAY, MAY 6

8:45 a.m. It was reported that a dog was locked in a tool box in the back of a truck outside Carvers Bakery in Winter Park.

5:53 p.m. A party on the 90-block of County Road 8502 in Tabernash reported hearing shooting and “louder booms” going on, which was scaring her animals. The explosions were coming every 20 minutes with shooting in between. She felt it was not coming from the nearby shooting range, but from inside someone’s home.

9:08 p.m. A motorcycle traveling along Highway 40 passed an officer at milepost 228 at speeds near 100 mph. The motorcycle then crashed at the intersection of Highway 40 and County Road 804 in Fraser.
