No one was home when a house in Grand Lake exploded at about 9:30 Sunday morning.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the home explosion on County Road 475, but natural gas or propane is suspected.
Lt. Dan Mayer of the Grand County Sheriff’s Office said that, at this point, authorities are still trying to contact the homeowner. He also said the home had its own propane tank.
Numerous people heard the explosion, and it scattered pieces of the home across the neighborhood, Mayer said.
Thankfully, though, no one was inside the home at the time, and there were no pets either.
