US Forest Service officials have reported at least two more instances of illegal dumping on USFS land so far this season.
Fraser Experimental Forest Site Manager Banning Starr responded to two calls of illegal dumping in the first week of January on the experimental forest property bordering the Arapaho National Forest.

During a week and a half stretch from mid to late November there were four incidents of illegal dumping in the Arapaho National Forest, according to Travis Mason-Bushman, acting public affairs officer for the Sulphur Ranger District.
Those incidents occurred near Meadow Creek Road off of County Road 84 and included a dumped trailer, 1,000 pounds of furniture, a couch and construction material.
At the time Mason-Bushman said the Sulphur Ranger District was seeking any information on the incidents and encouraged contacting the district at 970-887-4100.
The Fraser Experimental Forest saw an increase in illegal dumping, social trail building and vandalism this summer that puts the research occurring on the property at risk.
Both Starr and Mason-Bushman also noted that responding to illegal dumping takes time and money away from projects like trail work and road maintenance.
