Thank you for another opportunity for me to express my concerns about the murals in Granby. I sent a letter was printed May 31.
After all of the uproar over the murals, I can’t help but wonder if the town board of directors or the chamber board of directors ever considered the potential of controversy. Surely they should have.
Yes, the art is provocative because it is so loud, it is so big, it cannot be ignored. Is it the town’s role to provoke? This town project has caused unnecessary division in Granby. We were blindsided, no public input was sought.
I doubt that Mural Festival will happen again, I hope it won’t. It was a bad idea.
