Local artists’ work on display at Cozens Ranch

Cozens Ranch Museum is hosting a new series of exhibits, Art2020, to showcase the work of area artists in a variety of media.

Each exhibit will run for about a month. Many of the artists will be selling their work on consignment, and several will have exhibit openings this year.

Due to the large volume of applications, the Grand County Historical Association has decided to extend the art through the 2021 calendar year. Heritage and arts tourism is one of the organization’s passions, and the group hopes to highlight those from Grand County.

January’s artist is Sarah Bevard. Bevard is a self-taught, Kremmling artist. She specializes in drawing Colorado wildlife. Bevard is an avid dogsledder. Her exhibit, “My World,” will run through the end of January. Bevard also has a number of prints available for purchase at Cozens Ranch Museum and online. The second artist for Art2020 will be John Henley, a Granby resident and metal sculptor. His work uses reclaimed and repurposed material. Henley’s exhibit, “One for the Ranch,” will run through the month of February. There will be an opening reception from 4-7 p.m. Feb. 8 at Cozens Ranch Museum. Subsequent months of Art2020 will feature artists working in a variety of media. Each exhibit will be on display at Cozens Ranch Museum during normal hours of operation, 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday.
