Middle Park’s Ethan Callarman and Leah Cormican both finished fourth in their respective races Saturday at the Moffat County Invitational.
Callarman logged the top time among Middle Park’s boys, completing the race in 19 minutes flat and helping the Panthers take second as a team behind host Moffat County.
For the girls, Leah Cormican had the best time among the Panthers at 21:32. She finished behind three girls from Aspen, which was first as a team, with of Moffat County in second and Middle Park in third.
In the boys race, Callarman was followed by Panthers teammates Daniel Juricek (9th, 20:16), Dylan Cormican (13th, 20:53), Calvin Ciccarelli (23rd, 22:16), Jacob Gallagher (27th, 22:47), Jonathan Siefken (28th, 22:55), Jonah McKnight (32nd, 23:53) and Britton Burns (40th, 31:11).
Finishing in 11th place, Galen Wilkinson (20:38) led West Grand’s boys, followed by Henry Westfahl (20th, 21:27) and Zach Howington (36th, 26:41).
In the girls race, Middle Park’s Madison Trail had the Panthers’ second best finish, placing 14th in 22:34. Teammates Sylvia Brower (18th 23:06), Emily Lanternmans (33rd 27:33), Mia Stuart (35th, 28:25), Cameryn Friesen (36th, 28:33), and Maggie Barker (39th, 30:31) also turned in solid performances for Middle Park.
For the Mustangs, Samantha Westfahl (11th, 22:13) led the team. She was followed by Joy Hast (17th, 23:03), Jessica Gregory (38th, 29:06) and Lillie Steinle (40th, 32:16).
