Middle Park Health’s emergency department earned recognition for providing exemplary patient experiences by Press Ganey Associates, the most-widely used patient satisfaction survey in the country.

The emergency department was named a 2019 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence, which awards the hospital for consistently reaching the top 5% for patient experience in the emergency department.

According to a news release from Middle Park Health, the hospital uses Press Ganey surveys to determine how it is doing in regards to patient experience and to ensure patient expectations are being met. The surveys measure likelihood to recommend, overall rating and teamwork.

The 2019 awards are based on the performance between May 2018 and April 2019 and compare Middle Park Health to over 2,000 other hospitals that also utilize Press Ganey surveys.

“We have gone above and beyond the 95th percentile in patient experience,” the release states. “This award clearly shows that anyone that comes in contact with our patients is providing the utmost compassionate and high quality patient care. Thank you for all that you do. You all are truly appreciated.”
